I posted this quote from Marcus Aurelius a few days agao. ““Awaken; return to yourself. Now, no longer asleep, knowing they were only dreams, clear-headed again, treat everything around you as a dream.” It’s been echoing around in my mind since then. I’ve been trying to think of life in this way. I’ve found itContinue reading “Live like you are in a dream”

Writing
So you want to write? Write. You have a story to tell? Tell it. Don’t be concerned if you tell it the best way it can be told. Don’t be concerned about fame or success. Be concerned about telling your story. That’s all that matters. And you can always tell it better later.

From Marcus Aurelius: “Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, but do so with all your heart.”
Stoic quote of the day 07/02/23
Here’s one from Marcus Aurelius. A good reminder for a Sunday morning. “Have I been made for this, to lie under the blankets and keep myself warm?”
Today
As I sit in my car before work, listening to bird song, I think of what the day will bring. I know that I am very small. I will face challenges, but I should remember that things do not happen to me but merely happen. I have an opportunity today to do good. If IContinue reading “Today”
