First Post

The big one. Numero uno.

It’s finally happened. My first one. The big one. My first blog post. I’m really looking forward to regularly updating this blog. Sharing my ideas. Growing as an artist and as a person. And I’m sure that it will really stick this time and that everything will turn around.

What am I going to write about?

Three things, primarily; literature, history, and philosophy. I also may occasionally write on pop-culture.

A few questions to start:

Why do this at all? Why share my ideas publicly? Good question. To fulfill a creative urge, I suppose. To engage with my fellow human beings, maybe. It seems that ideas have more value if they aren’t locked up in our skulls.

What right do I have? What kind of hubris does it take to think that anyone will want to hear what I have to say? This is a good question and one that I struggle with. I’ll say this; I’m just going to put it out there. I can’t tell you that reading this will be of any value to you. I can’t tell you that my thoughts will better your life or anyone’s life in any substantive way.

But I do hope that if someone does find this place, they will find something here that will make their life better, even if only in a moment, even if only in a single eye twinkle or slight mouth corner twitch .
